Contact Us
The form on this page is the only way to reach us for now. There is no phone line listed, so every message gets a written reply, which also gives you a record of what you described. Keep it short or go into detail; either works.
When we reply
Each message is read by a person before it goes anywhere. We reply to every request as soon as we can, and if water is actively leaking or sewage is backing up, shut the water off and call a plumber right away. In most Birmingham houses the main shutoff sits near the street in a meter box or where the supply line enters the crawlspace or basement, and it is worth finding before you ever need it.
Where we connect homeowners
Older city neighborhoods like Avondale and Highland Park make up a big share of the requests, along with the newer subdivisions down I-65. We connect homeowners in Birmingham and the surrounding towns in Jefferson and Shelby counties, from Gardendale and Trussville to Hoover, Pelham and Chelsea, with independent local plumbers. If you already know you want a price for a specific repair, the longer quote page asks a few more questions up front.
How replies work
We reply to every request as soon as we can.
What to include in your message
A few details save a round of back-and-forth.
What you are seeing: a drip, a stain, a smell, no hot water, a drain that will not clear, a hiss near a gas appliance. If you smell gas, leave the house and call your gas company or 911 from outside.
Where it is in the house: which bathroom, which wall, upstairs or down, slab or crawlspace.
How long it has been happening and whether it is getting worse.
Roughly when the house was built, if you know. A 1940s home with galvanized pipe and a 2005 build with PEX raise different first questions for a plumber.
Photos of the problem area, the water heater label or the shutoff valve help a lot. Not sure the problem is plumbing at all? Describe it anyway and we tell you what we can.
